Corporate Lighting & Audio was consulted about installing a video projection system for a renovation project in the spin room at Ochsner Fitness Center, Elmwood, LA. Originally the budget and discussions revolved around a projection surface with snorkel lens to project client software on to wall immediately behind the spin class instructor. Projection distance and ceiling height presented challenges for this project as the instructor’s spin bike sits directly in front of the projection wall. We started considering using LED Video wall to overcome the many challenges that were presented even tough we knew it might be out of budget. We were excited when Absen responded with a B-Stock Absen N2 video wall that would not only work for the project but would keep us close to the original, traditional projection budget. We were able to work closely with the contractors on electrical and structural requirements for the install and the project was completed on-time. The system includes a Steamdeck control surface running custom hotkey commands for client software and Companion Software to switch the NovaStar VX6s processor. The end result is a beautiful 2.9mm video wall measuring 6’7” tall by 11’4” wide.
